[...wait you mean we're not talking about ugly sweaters?]
They are fascinating, aren't they? The beliefs these people hold are all quite interesting, though I've read that there are quite a few more legendary Pokémon out there. I'm not sure how they keep them all straight.
[He would ask if you've been to Ecruteak but it was kind of bombed so...]
The ones we saw in October are more than enough proof that the gods here are real, as is their power...it's impressive, and nothing like what I'm used to. A bit intimidating, even, to think that such things are out there.
[He pauses for a moment after that's out there, though.]
Is one of them what caused all the strangeness last weekend, do you think?
Unfortunately, there's no way to know. I believe that some people have seen rare Pokémon that might be legendaries during these weekends, but no one has ever reported finding a cause for them.
[It's possible that someone's keeping quiet about it, but there's no point in mentioning that. There's also no point in mentioning the machine theory to someone he scarcely knows.]
[He just laughs a bit at that question, the sound quiet.]
You have to admit that it was a bit jarring - especially since it's the first time I've seen something like that! I'm a curious person, monsieur, that's all.
I'm fortunate that I know people who have been here longer than I have; I was able to get some advance warning of the last one before this region became the strangest place I've ever seen for three days.
Nothing quite prepared me for the apocalypse a month before, but I suppose that's what keeps life interesting.
I wonder what the significance of May is? I understand a lot of odd things happen around Halloween, and the end of November is America's Thanksgiving...and obviously there's Christmas this month.
Six months from November puts us in May. It's a bit late for Easter, and while it could be Golden Week somehow I doubt it.
[He'll...definitely have to look into that, won't he.]
Were you familiar at all with the Legendaries in October, by the way? I've been looking for material about them, that one that showed up toward the end of it all in particular.
No, I'm afraid I'm not. I was more interested in researching the legendary Pokémon associated with this region; those Pokémon never came up. Have you found anything about them?
Some! The one at the end seems to be the master god-figure, if I'm not mistaken. Most of the other Pokémon seem to have some sort of origin that involves being created, or having some sort of ancestor that they descended from. Arceus, on the other hand, supposedly came from an egg that was formed out of the chaos that existed before the universe was created - sort of like the Big Bang, if you're familiar with the concept, but instead of the universe resulting from it, a Pokémon was created, and then that Pokémon created everything else.
From the information I got out of one of those poorly-dressed men in blue, their deity of choice is called Kyogre; I haven't looked into that one quite as much.

[oh thank god this is the right number that would be sort of embarrassing otherwise
...granted the last time he connected with a wrong number he got food out of it but still]
First of all, I appreciated the recommendation you gave me - regarding the Legendaries, and the stories about them? They've been an interesting read.

Why do you ask?

This place really does like its holidays, doesn't it.

I don't know what the significance of May is. Perhaps it's just something that happens every six months without it being reliant on a holiday.

So it's something like the arrivals - it's something this place has scheduled?
