♕ TWENTIETH COMMAND | VIDEO
This is getting ridiculous.
[Well that certainly sounds like Archer, though he's not on screen. The background appears to be a very boring room in what looks like a hotel, with a window showing that it is indeed still raining dogs. Apparently it was fine while it was raining cats, but Archer has finally lost his suspension of disbelief at the dogs.]
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? I was willing to write the sharks off as a freak storm, but this? It's been two days of this now. How long is it going to rain animals?
[The camera turns then to focus on two Espurrs sitting on the hotel bed. They look as traumatized as any normal Espurr, but they're sitting upright and clutching each other's paws for dear life.]
I have another question. Has anyone ever had a Pokémon that has simply refused to do anything without being accompanied by a partner?
[Archer moves into the shot, proving that he's not actually filming this. He reaches out and scoops up the Espurr on the left, pulling it away from the second one. Immediately both the cats start wailing. It's very loud and the both of them immediately attempt to reunite, the one on the bed clawing at Archer's uniform and the one in his arms squirming frantically. Archer sighs and drops the cat on the bed and the two quickly join hands again and go silent, staring up at Archer like he's committed the worst sin possible.]
I can't get them to do anything. I didn't even want two, but when I caught the first one the second one wouldn't stop following me and crying.
[He sounds annoyed, but it was really just kind of depressing.]
I've never had two Pokémon this dependent on each other. Has anyone else had experience dealing with something like this?

[Not that he minds it while it's happening, admittedly; if nothing else it's amusing him.]
Until then, I'm assuming you continue to have no luck with the cats?

Well, perhaps they'll get over it on their own. They did just take a rather violent drop and all.
no subject
I suppose so. Hopefully I can at least get them to explain why they won't let go of each other after they've calmed down.

[Probably because you and your Alakazam are both jerks??]

Mine responds, but he does so in a manner that makes it incredibly obvious that he landed on his head, so I don't know how much help that is.

[Someone's favoring dogs in this world and that's completely uncalled for!!]
no subject
[Kimblee, no.]

[He gestures vaguely in the direction of the cats who are doing that thing where they stare without blinking for way too long.]
no subject
You know you're going to regardless, don't you.
no subject
Oh of course I am. That's why they're still here and I'm trying to figure out what to do with them instead of just releasing them right away.
[At least he's aware that he's 4x weak to cats?]
no subject
Well, at least you admit it.
no subject
[AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA]
...In this aspect.
no subject
[...it's been a while since he picked on you, okay]
no subject
Yes, well.
[WELL.]
What made you decide to catch this one?
[What a smooth topic change.]
no subject
[That is to say that most of the others, being 1. psychic and 2. cats, managed to catch themselves such that they at least landed on their feet, if not full-out performed a really awkward psychic hoverdance.
...and then there was this one, who found the ground with his face, bounced, skidded a bit and then just kind of stayed flopped there.]
I don't know how useful he'll be, though it's possible he'll be moreso than the dog eventually.
no subject
[Even if they do look like they've seen some serious shit.]
Do you have any idea what type the dog is?
no subject
[HE GOT JUMPED ON SO BAD, ARCHER...]
no subject
Did we really need any more dog Pokémon?
[Ugh. Dogs.]
Hopefully it'll be useful.
no subject
We technically didn't need traumatized kittens, either.
[...well, that seems to have gotten the cat in his pocket's attention, albeit in a bit of a vague way; it squirms around a bit as though trying to look at him before doing...something psychically that gets him to flinch, good lord.
Annnnd now there's a glare-off happening, lovely.]
Well, it's objectively true.
no subject
...Are you alright?
[Hopefully that little thing didn't scream in Kimblee's head or something.]
no subject
[His traumacat's a little shit but he's fine.]
