[It's almost like someone wanted it erased from history or something.]
I'm sure there are books on the subject, but you'd probably have to be actively looking for books about religion. Anything else would probably leave it as a footnote.
It's interesting, isn't it? Not many people know about it.
[Who knows, maybe they'll get lucky and information about the religion will pop up at some point here. He kind of doubts it, but who knows with this place. It's at least a curiosity for anyone who is willing to put the effort into finding out the world's secrets.]
Unfortunately I can't tell you much about the religion itself, but I find it interesting it existed in our world at all.
Indeed. It's certainly an interesting holiday; it doesn't seem to be directly associated with any sort of Pokémon mythological figure in particular. Stantler and Delibird are often depicted on cards and such, but there isn't a central figure that the holiday is associated with. I have to wonder if there's a reason for that. I've heard that other worlds have Christmas as well, so surely there's some common thread between all of them that could explain why Amestris no longer follows that religion.

[He's not sure if that's all there is to it, but he's willing to let it go for now.]
Is there anything else?

[There's totally something else.]
I appreciate this. You didn't exactly have to do anything.

You're welcome. There's no sense in letting him die, now is there?
[He sounds a bit confused by that though; he genuinely wasn't expecting to be thanked for this.]
no subject
Not really, no.
[He's a little confused himself, since properly thanking people isn't something he does often, but he also couldn't do this without Archer's help.]
I'm sure the kid'll settle down eventually. I'm a little sorry you'll have to put up with him in the meantime.

[He said he'd keep an eye out, not be the kid's babysitter!]
Ah, while we're here - did you have a nice holiday?

[Look at the two of them behaving like people who aren't incredibly awkward. This is genuine improvement.
Maybe it helps that Greed actually got something thoughtful for Archer? Maybe??]
Yeah, I had a pretty good time. Not bad for my first Christmas ever.

Fair enough. Hearing them for an entire month did get old.

They used to celebrate it in Amestris, you know. A long, long time ago.

[He sounds genuinely surprised by that piece of trivia. Something in Amestrian history he's not aware of?? How could this be???]

In the old part of Central, you can still see one of the churches.

[What a shame, that would have been fascinating to read about.]
It certainly is. I'd have never imagined we had such a holiday back in Amestris, much less the religion it's based in.
