Akemi Homura

OPINION ★★✩✩✩
The only time Archer spoke to Homura was during the second trial, where he told her not to get hasty. Turns out Homura was right about the murderer, whoops. Anyway, he didn't particularly care about her, but he was annoyed that everyone was tripping over themselves to congratulate her on "solving the case" (which by the way, they all worked together to solve, tyvm). He didn't care about her death an actually sympathized more with her killer.

Archer isn't really sure how to feel about Sycamore most of the time. He kind of likes him, but then Sycamore is obviously a really nice person and really naive and Archer's got enough of that dealing with Cynthia. So he's okay with Sycamore and wants to keep an eye on him because he was really close to Lysandre, but he also doesn't really like dealing with the optimism and... everything else.

There's something about this woman that strikes Archer the wrong way. Well, the fact that she's an alchemist scientist bothers him as it is, but her actions have irritated him a lot as well. Why would she want to get married in a scenario like this? Why would she adopt a girl she barely knew? He can't understand her and thus, cannot bring himself to care about her or even remotely like her. ...Also she was the one who was praising Homura after that trial and Archer is still kind of bitter about that which surprises no one because he's a bitter bitch.

Archer actually likes Cynthia. Usually she's the sort of person he should hate; she's optimistic, kind of stupid in his opinion, and always certain that justice will prevail. But during the third investigation, she was very helpful and useful and was actually a good person to bounce ideas off of. So weirdly enough, he's ended up liking her. He kind of felt bad for her after Ike was revealed to be Homura's murderer and actually tried to be sensitive and supportive (it was pretty awful, as expected). She's become the person he cares about the most. He wants to protect her and get her out of here no matter what. Well, as long as he doesn't have to die, that is.

Despite never actually speaking to Ike, Archer has a higher opinion of him than most people. Ike attempted to kill to escape - which would have resulted in all of their deaths had he actually succeeded - but he was doing it to protect those who served with him. Archer can understand that and actually felt sympathy for Ike. Sort of. As much sympathy as Archer can feel, at any rate. Ike's execution also got to him for some reason he can't figure out.

Well apparently Kirei isn't human. He went crazy (crazier) and killed two people before refusing to let Monobear kill him and he did some magic or something and let himself die. Archer has no idea how to feel about that, but Kirei has surprisingly effected him post-death. He's actually kind of cool with Kirei's ghost since Kirei directed him to that control room where he spammed the body announcement. Shame he didn't get to know Kirei better in life.
